Pedestrian hit by Freight Train in Joliet

JOLIET – Metra announced temporary suspension of service to New Lenox Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a train.

According to Metra the incident happened at the Rock Island line stop in Joliet after the pedestrian was struck by a freight train.

Details of the incident or condition of the individual hit are unknown at this time.
