Logansport, IN – A Lafayette woman lost her life in a two-vehicle crash on State Road 29 on Thursday.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred near the State Road 25 exit ramp to US 24/US 35, when the victim’s vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The local authorities responded to the emergency call around 12:13 PM, involving multiple public safety agencies. The victim, identified as Cynthia Everly, age 62, was transported to IU Arnett in Lafayette but later succumbed to her injuries.
The other driver, Chester Clark, age 69, also of Lafayette, sustained minor injuries.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash further, and urges anyone with information to come forward.
