Lombard, IL – A Lombard man, 31-year-old Dakota Gallatin, was tragically killed in a collision involving his motorcycle and a pick-up truck at the intersection of North Ave and Joyce St in Villa Park, IL, on March 29, 2024.
According to Villa Park Police Monday, a crash was reported at approximately 6:27 pm, involving a 2008 Ford F250 pick-up truck and a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle. Gallatin suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver of the Ford pick-up truck emerged without injuries.
The initial investigation indicates the Ford pick-up was executing a left turn from North Ave to southbound Joyce St when it collided with Gallatin’s motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound. The Villa Park Police, in collaboration with the MERIT Major Crash Reconstruction Team, are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
