Man Found Dead in Truck in Iroquois County

IROQUOIS COUNTY, IL – A 42-year-old man was found deceased in his truck in northwestern Iroquois County Thursday.

The man is identified as a resident of Kankakee County, who was discovered behind the wheel with the engine still running.

Herscher Fire responded to the scene, discovering the man after a distress call. An autopsy conducted in Iroquois County later reported the man had passed away due to natural causes – a heart attack. 

It’s speculated he pulled off the road when he began experiencing the cardiac event.  The man’s family has been identified in the event.
