Manteno Man Arrested after School Related Threats

MANTENO, IL – A 19-year-old Manteno man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly made threats related towards a local school.

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police arrested Curnet Brewer, a resident of Manteno, just before 8 p.m. on charges of threats towards a school building or person.  The exact nature of the alleged threat and the circumstances surrounding it remain undisclosed.

Brewer is now being held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. Details behind the event have yet to be released.
