Kansas City, MO – A tornado watch has been issued for eastern Kansas and west-central Missouri, including the Kansas City Metro area, until 5 a.m. CDT Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, the alert affects areas such as Topeka, Joplin, and Springfield, with the potential for a few tornadoes, scattered hail up to two inches, and wind gusts up to 80 mph. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
