Momence Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 69-Year-Old Resident

MOMENCE, IL – A single motorcycle accident unfolded near Vincennes Trail and 4000 North Rd in rural Momence Thursday night, resulting in the death of a 69-year-old local resident. 

The victim, identified by the Coroner as Rick Stromme was riding his motorcycle when it veered off the road and entered a ditch. Despite immediate response from emergency personnel, Stromme was pronounced dead at the scene around 6 pm on Thursday. 

No other riders were on the bike at the time of the crash.  The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
