Multiple Injuries Reported in Dwight House Fire

DWIGHT, IL – A rural residential fire a mile from Dwight left in multiple people injured early this morning. 

Dwight Fire Protection District and EMS arrived on the scene at 1:30 a.m. and found heavy flames and smoke spreading throughout a home. 

All residents had been evacuated, but three people sustained injuries and were transported to Morris Hospital for treatment. 

No word on the severity of the injuries sustained to the residents.

Mutual aid companies from neighboring areas including Braidwood, Limestone, and Wilmington responded to the blaze. MABAS Division 15 is currently investigating the cause of the incident.
