Manteno, Ill. – Emergency crews responded to a major motor vehicle accident on County Line Road at Route 50 around 3:30 pm Monday afternoon.
According to reports the crash involved multiple vehicles, and one vehicle was up against the railroad tracks. Due to the severity of the accident, crews had to conduct an extrication to remove victims from the scene.
Multiple patients were transported to nearby hospitals, and the area was advised to avoid as the accident caused traffic to back up.
The incident is still ongoing as of 15:20, and no further details have been released.
