Nashville, TN – Severe Thunderstorm Watch for 2 Million: 70 mph Winds, Golf Ball-Sized Hail

Nashville, TN – Severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and early evening, with damaging winds reaching 60-70 mph and golf ball-sized hail.

According to the US National Weather Service in Nashville, the severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 7:00 PM CDT for regions including Memphis, Jackson, and Clarksville, impacting over 2 million people. 

Residents in these areas should be on alert for scattered hail up to two inches in diameter, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. 

Further watches may be issued for areas to the east later today. Stay updated and monitor local weather alerts.
