Normal, IL – A tragic incident occurred on Vernon Avenue near Brookwood Drive in Normal, IL, on April 8, 2024, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The Normal Police Department (NPD) and the McLean County Coroner’s Office reported that the accident took place around 5:40 PM when the motorcycle veered off the road and struck a guardrail.
Emergency responders, including NPD officers and the Normal Fire Department, were quick to arrive at the scene, where they found the motorcyclist with severe trauma. The McLean County Coroner’s Office, along with NPD and the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team, is diligently investigating the crash. The name of the victim has not been released, pending family notification.
