Park Forest, IL – 18-Year-Old Killed in Crash After Striking Utility Pole in University Park

University Park, IL – An 18-year-old Park Forest man, Ethan K. McCall, tragically lost his life in a car crash on Tuesday night after his vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole in University Park, Illinois.

According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, McCall was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8:15 PM on February 20, 2024. The accident occurred at the intersection of University Parkway and Pine Trace Court. McCall, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling northbound on University Parkway when the crash happened. The University Park Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

An autopsy is scheduled for February 21, 2024, to determine the final cause and manner of McCall’s death. This will include a review of police reports, autopsy findings, and toxicology reports.
