Tampico, IL – A fatal traffic collision between a Ford F150 and a semi-trailer on March 28th led to an extended traffic shutdown in Whiteside County.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office reported the accident between a Ford F150, driven by the juvenile, and a semi-trailer truck occurred near the intersection with Hahnaman Road. Emergency services responded to the scene, where an extensive investigation and reconstruction of the crash were undertaken, leading to significant traffic disruptions well into the evening.
Officials have confirmed that the young driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. While the juvenile’s identity is being withheld out of respect for his family during this difficult time, the community grieves the loss.
