Peoria, IL: Juveniles Arrested for Vehicle Theft and Burglary in Early Morning Incident

Peoria, IL – In a swift response to a reported vehicle theft, Peoria Police apprehended two male juveniles early Friday morning.

According to the Peoria Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of W. Glen at around 2:58 a.m. on March 29, 2024, following a report of a motor vehicle theft. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned on the 1400 block of Candlelight Court.

A search in the vicinity led to the discovery of several stolen items along the juveniles’ flight path. The suspects, aged 16 and 17, were arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, two counts of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Stolen Property. They were subsequently transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
