Rockford, IL – Local Fire Crews Tackle Bedroom Blaze on Cole Avenue

Rockford, IL – Early Tuesday morning, the Rockford Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire in the 300 block of Cole Avenue. 

According to officials, the call came in around 9:50 AM, with first responders arriving swiftly to find smoke emanating from the structure. A hose line was quickly deployed, targeting a fire that had taken hold in an upper floor bedroom. Remarkably, no injuries were reported in the incident. The fire was successfully extinguished, preventing further spread throughout the home. 

In the aftermath, several residents displaced by the fire are receiving assistance from the Red Cross, highlighting the community’s resilient response to the emergency.
