Rockford, IL – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced a significant infrastructure project set to begin in Winnebago County.

Starting Monday, April 8, the bridge carrying Mulford Road over Interstate 39 and U.S. 20 in Rockford will undergo replacement, necessitating occasional lane closures and shifts on I-39 during the construction period. The project aims to enhance the safety and longevity of this crucial thoroughfare.
