Aurora, IL – A serious hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist occurred on Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 4:41 PM along Route 59, just north of Liberty Street in Aurora. Aurora Police quickly responded to the scene where they discovered that the driver had fled northbound after the collision.
A 65-year-old man from Naperville, who was riding the bicycle, was urgently transported to a local hospital by Aurora Fire Department paramedics, where he was listed in serious condition.The Aurora Police Department’s Traffic Division is actively seeking to identify the fleeing vehicle, described as a black Volkswagen Beetle with possible passenger-side damage.
