Schaumburg, IL – The Village of Schaumburg reminds residents that the special holiday tree collection period concluded on February 2.

For those still possessing holiday trees, the village has provided a recycling option. Trees can be dropped off for chipping at the Engineering and Public Works Department at 714 S. Plum Grove Rd throughout February. Before disposal, residents must remove all decorations and lights.

According to the village’s official communication, the brush pickup service is slated to recommence in April, with acceptance of trees stripped of lights and decorations. Detailed information about brush pickup schedules and procedures is available on the village website.

The holiday light recycling program at Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center will end on February 16, while copper wire recycling is set to continue year-round at the same location.
