Schaumburg, IL – Fire Department Responds to Major Garage Fire, Collapse

Schaumburg, IL – A significant fire erupted in the attached garage of a residence on the 1900 block of Lawson Rd in Schaumburg on Monday afternoon. 

According to the Schaumburg Fire Department, the garage was fully involved and eventually collapsed, with the fire spreading to the attic of the home. Despite the severity of the fire, no injuries have been reported. 

Emergency units from Schaumburg and neighboring areas were dispatched to the scene, including Battalion 5, Chiefs 501 and 502, multiple ambulances and engines from Schaumburg, as well as support from Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park, Mount Prospect, Bartlett, Barrington, and Roselle. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damages are still under investigation.
