Champaign, Illinois – A significant breakthrough has occurred in a robbery case outside a Champaign exercise facility. A 19-year-old man, Darren Mosley, and a 12-year-old boy, both from Champaign, were arrested for their alleged involvement in a December 7th incident at 425 Paddock Drive West, Savoy. The two are accused of assaulting and robbing a man as he left the facility, using pepper spray and physical force to take his wallet and headphones.
According to Champaign County Sheriff’s reports there arrests, made on December 12th around 9:43 p.m., were facilitated by the public’s response to images release by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department. Mosley is being held at the Champaign County Correctional Center, while the juvenile was initially taken to the Juvenile Detention Center before being released to parental custody. They face charges of Aggravated Robbery, Mob Action, and Battery.
