South Bend, IN – A tragic incident occurred on South Ironwood Drive in South Bend, Indiana, leading to the death of a 23-year-old motorcyclist.
The collision took place around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, at the intersection of Southern View. According to the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team, the motorcyclist was heading south when he collided with a vehicle turning left onto Ironwood Drive. Tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the car involved sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She is currently cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash. The Fatal Crash Team continues to examine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
