Springfield, MI – A dramatic two-vehicle crash in Springfield took a shocking turn Tuesday night when a heroic bystander was struck while attempting to help.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash with possible entrapment at the intersection of W Dickman Rd and 24th St at approximately 10 p.m. While deputies attended to the initial crash, a brave bystander rushed to assist and was hit by a speeding bright green Dodge Charger that fled the scene.
The entrapped driver from the initial accident was taken to Bronson Battle Creek for non-life-threatening injuries. The courageous bystander was transported to Borgess Hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
