Peoria, IL – A school bus carrying students from Dunlap was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Monday, February 5, 2024.
According to the Peoria Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:57 p.m. in the 2500 block of W. Townline Drive. The collision led to the school bus striking a nearby business establishment. Several students aboard the bus were taken to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Additionally, two adults involved in the crash were also transported to the hospital with similar non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed that no individuals inside the business were harmed.
Responding to the scene were units from the Peoria Fire Department, Advanced Medical Transport (AMT), officials from Dunlap schools, and deputies from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
