Tinley Park Shooting: Man Fires at Estranged Wife in Grocery Store Showdown

TINLEY PARK, IL — Police responded to a shooting report Saturday at the Jewel-Osco parking lot on 17117 S. Harlem Avenue. 

According to Tinley Park police around 10 a.m., a shell casing was discovered, but the shooter was missing from the scene. Following an intense search, the gunman was found hiding behind garbage cans at his Lake Bluff Drive residence. 

Investigators say he reportedly fired shots at his estranged wife post a domestic altercation in the supermarket lot before escaping with her. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. 

The Tinley Park Police Department is actively investigating, with charges yet to be announced.
