BRADLEY, Ill. – In a routine traffic stop on Sunday night, local officers in Bradley apprehended a man wanted on a warrant issued by Will County.

The arrest was made on Route 50 after police observed expired registration on the suspect’s vehicle. Upon further inspection, officers allegedly discovered a firearm case in the back seat, accompanied by open alcohol.

Angelo D Johnston, a 36-year-old resident of Dolton, was taken into custody without incident. He now faces charges related to the outstanding warrant and aggravated use of a weapon. It is important to note that Johnston does not possess a concealed carry permit.

Following the arrest, Johnston was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center. On Monday, a bond of $7,500 was set for his release pending further legal proceedings.
