Watseka Teen car goes Airborne, lands in bean field

WATSEKA – A teen is recovering after a single car crash Monday landed her vehicle upside down in a bean field.

According to Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police, it happened when the car driven by Kamryn Overaker, 17 of Watseka, entered a ditch and hit an embankment causing her car to go airborne.  The car rolled twice in the air before coming to a rest in a nearby bean field.

Overacker’s car was headed east on Iroquois County Road 1850 North at the time of the crash. No word on what caused Overacker’s car to initially leave the roadway. 

Overacker was treated for minor injuries in the crash at Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
