Buffalo, NY – A few sprinkles or light showers will be possible for areas south of Lake Ontario this afternoon, but the best chance for showers and a few thunderstorms is expected for areas of north central NY. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Beach Hazard Statement for the entire Lake Ontario shoreline from near Hamlin Beach to Cape Vincent, warning of strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions expected today and this evening.
According to the National Weather Service, the chance of precipitation in Buffalo is low at 16%, with the highest probability in Watertown at 38%. Temperatures today in Buffalo are expected to reach a high of 77°F with mostly clear skies.
The forecast for the upcoming days shows sunny and warmer conditions. Friday will be sunny with a high of 80°F, while Saturday and Sunday will also be clear, with temperatures reaching 84°F and 88°F, respectively. Monday will see partly cloudy skies with a high of 84°F. Showers are expected to return on Tuesday and Wednesday with a 50% chance of rain and temperatures in the low 80s.
