Elwood, IL – An elderly man was discovered deceased at the BNSF rail yard in Elwood, Will County, triggering a comprehensive investigation by local authorities.
According to the Elwood Police Department, emergency units were alerted to a distressing scene involving a subject lying on the ground near a silver sedan on Thursday, April 4th, at approximately 7:13 p.m. The response teams were guided to a gravel access road half a mile west of Elwood International Port Road and Mississippi Avenue, situated along the northern boundary of the rail yard. Upon arrival, police and paramedics identified a 72-year-old male victim with a throat laceration.
