Will County, IL – Child Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Route 113

Braidwood, IL – A child was seriously injured in a major vehicle versus pedestrian accident this afternoon in Braidwood, leading to a significant emergency response. 

According to first responders the incident, which occurred around 4:15 PM at the intersection of Route 113 (N Division St) and W Anndon Dr, prompted the Braidwood Fire Protection District to issue a trauma alert. The young pedestrian was swiftly transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with additional medical support due to the severity of the injuries sustained.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision has been taken to Riverside Medical Center for evaluation. Following the accident, a section of N Division St was shut down, affecting traffic flow in the area. Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
