According to first responders the incident, which occurred around 4:15 PM at the intersection of Route 113 (N Division St) and W Anndon Dr, prompted the Braidwood Fire Protection District to issue a trauma alert. The young pedestrian was swiftly transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with additional medical support due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision has been taken to Riverside Medical Center for evaluation.
