Wilmington, IL – Will County’s nature aficionados are in for a treat with an enlightening presentation on the vibrant lives of dragonflies and damselflies, hosted at the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, the upcoming event, “Dragonflies and Damselflies: The Prairie’s Frequent Fliers,” is set to feature Cindy Crosby, the author of “Chasing Dragonflies: A Natural, Cultural, and Personal History.” The lecture is planned for Wednesday, March 6th, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Midewin NTP Conference Room. Crosby’s talk will offer insights into the extraordinary transformation, mysterious migration patterns, and the survival challenges of these prairie insects, alongside showcasing exquisite photography.
