Wilmington, IL – Community members in Wilmington, IL, are encouraged to participate in the DEA National Take Back Day event for safe medication disposal, scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the CVS Pharmacy parking lot located at 1101 S. Water Street. According to the Wilmington Police Department, the initiative aims to provide a secure method for disposing of unneeded medications, with shredding services also available.

The Wilmington Coalition for a Healthy Community endorses this event, underscoring its commitment to public health and safety. Residents are invited to take proactive steps in maintaining a safe environment by properly discarding unused or expired prescriptions.
