Wisconsin Braces for April Snow Surprise: Up to 8 Inches Expected Today

Madison, WI – An unexpected April snowfall has Wisconsin on alert. 

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee forecasts a rapid change from rain to heavy, wet snow this afternoon, hitting areas north of Madison and east central Wisconsin the hardest. 

Residents in the storm’s path could see snow accumulations ranging from 4 to 8 inches. Surrounding counties are advised to prepare for 2-5 inches. 

The weather event is slated to start midday and peak by evening, potentially impacting travel with slushy and treacherous road conditions.
