Chicago Fire game postponed after five Nashville players positive for COVID-19

The Chicago Fire’s game against Nashville SC in the MLS is Back Tournament has been postponed for tomorrow after five Nashville players tested positive for COVID-19.

Two of the players received positive confirmation over the weekend with three other results coming back late Monday night.

“Since arriving in Orlando on July 3, five Nashville players have had confirmed positive tests for COVID-19. Two of the players received the confirmed positive results during the weekend and three players received confirmed positive results last night. In addition, four other players have received inconclusive test results, and require further testing,” MLS said in a statement on Tuesday.

No date was disclosed for a makeup game. The MLS is Back Tournament is still scheduled to take place on July 8th with Orland City SC facing Inter Miami CF.
