BOURBONNAIS – Beginning Friday, high school students in attendance at athletic events will be limited to home and visiting schools only.

At least, at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School where Principal Brian Wright announced the drastic policy change to athletic game admissions Wednesday in a letter to parents.  BBCHS and competing school students will be allowed access only with valid Student IDs at home games.

Other changes announced Wednesday included only allowing younger students into games with an accompanying adult.  The closing of gates after the first half and instituting a “Good Night Rule” that denies spectators any entry into the stadium if for some reason they would have to leave.

Fans will also now be restricted to the bleachers for the duration of any home game.

The school did not go into details on how the rules would be enforced or any issues that lead to the sudden changes in policy.

All the new changes were made citing safety concerns.

The full letter can be read here.
