Madison, WI – Wisconsin has announced the addition of two new Rustic Roads to its celebrated network.
These routes offer travelers a chance to experience the state’s diverse landscapes and historical sites while enjoying leisurely travel. Rustic Road 125 will take explorers through the northern forests, featuring a mix of pavement and gravel along Telemark Road and Spider Lake Fire Lane. Rustic Road 126 presents a scenic journey through southern farmlands along Bell School Road, showcasing preserved farms and woodlands.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, these additions bring the total to 126 routes covering over 760 miles across 61 counties, highlighting Wisconsin’s commitment to preserving rural heritage and offering immersive travel experiences. The Rustic Roads Program, dating back to 1973, invites both residents and tourists to slow down and appreciate the natural beauty and historic fabric of Wisconsin.
