BOURBONNAIS, IL – Get ready to kick off the summer season with a bang as the highly anticipated Bourbonnais Friendship Festival opens its doors tonight.

To start off the festivities, the carnival will open at 5:00 pm tonight, welcoming visitors with a special Friends Night promotion – two people for the price of one! The opening ceremonies at 6:00 pm on the Main Stage will feature the posting of colors by the Veterans Group, followed by a mesmerizing rendition of the National Anthem by Ellie Yeager. Attendees will also be treated to a special performance by the talented Tim Boshaw.
Music lovers will have plenty to look forward to throughout the festival. The Battle of the Bands winner, The Vexons, will rock the Main Stage from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm tonight. On Friday, catch the enchanting sounds of the Serendipity Band from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display sponsored by Illiana Financial. The Anthem Band will take the stage from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturday, ensuring a night filled with lively tunes.
