A BBCHS staff member has been arrested earlier today by Bradley Police for inappropriate communication with a student.

The incident first came to light this past Monday, September 23rd, when a student reported the incident to BBCHS staff. The staff member was immediately removed from the building and placed on administrative leave.

“While the District is limited to what we can share based on confidentiality laws around student records and personal matters, we wish to make it clear that the well being and safety of all of our students is a top priority,” said School Superintendent Dr. Scott Wakeley in a letter to parents and guardians earlier today.

The school reports they’ve been in contact with the student’s parents, school resource officer, Bradley Police Department and DCFS throughout the incident.

In his letter, Wakeley added, “I want every single parent and student to know that we will continue to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students at BBCHS.”
