KANKAKEE – Bodies discovered in a home near St. Mary’s Hospital have been identified as 3 men in their 20s.

According to the Kankakee Police Department, the bodies of the men were found after officers responded to 662 West Merchant Street for a report of shots fired.

“Kankakee Fire Paramedics responded to the scene, however, it appears that all three individuals were shot hours earlier or possibly overnight,” City of Kankakee Police reported in a press release late Wednesday night. “All three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.”

The victims were identified as Kyle M. Washington, 25, Deontay M Tyler, 24, and an unidentified 27 year old male.  All three men were residents of Kankakee.
