Kankakee, IL – The inaugural Board Bootcamp, a dynamic new program designed to enhance community leadership and nonprofit board effectiveness, is set to launch in January 2024.

This groundbreaking training is poised to equip Kankakee and Iroquois Counties’ professionals with the essential skills and knowledge needed for nonprofit board service. Kicking off on January 17th at Riverside Medical Center’s Johnson Lecture Hall, the four-session series offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at nonprofit operations.

Participants will gain insights from current board leaders, connect with local nonprofits, and learn how to make a tangible impact. The collaborative effort, led by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley, United Way, and the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce, promises to strengthen community ties and promote active civic engagement.

The cost is set at an accessible $40 per participant for all sessions. Prospective changemakers should act fast, as spots are limited to 25 for this cohort.

Registrations can be secured via a dedicated QR code or online at bit.ly/boardbootcamp2024. For more information, Nicole Smolkovich can be contacted at 815-939-1611, ext 101.
