URBANA, Ill. – A woman seeking aid for her injured pet at the University of Illinois’ College of Veterinary Medicine’s Small Animal Clinic allegedly took advantage of the situation.

Just minutes after departing, she returned with a large bag and, under the watchful eyes of security cameras, allegedly made off with a cash-filled donation box from the premises.

The detailed footage, generously provided by Champaign County Crime Stoppers, portrays the suspect as a Black woman of a robust build, sporting long, potentially synthetic, black hair. Additional distinctive features include a nose ring and a tattoo on her left arm.

With the intention to crack this puzzling case, Crime Stoppers has appealed to the public. They are earnestly requesting anyone with knowledge regarding the woman’s identity to step forward and share their information. Tips can be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers.
