Rollover Crash in Kankakee Sends Several to Hospital

KANKAKEE, IL – A car collision Friday evening at the intersection of South Evergreen Avenue and East River Street in Kankakee caused a rollover and resulted in a 2nd alarm being issued. 

Emergency services from Kankakee and Bradley responded with engines, while medics from Bourbonnais, Bradley, Riverside Hospital, Elite, Aroma Park, Limestone other areas were also called to the scene. 

The accident, which occurred when witnesses say a car reportedly failed to stop at a sign and collided with an SUV, left the SUV flipped on its side. 

While no fatalities have been reported, witnesses say everyone involved appears shaken. The incident caused significant traffic delays in the neighborhood.
