KANKAKEE – The Kankakee County Coroner’s Facebook page has returned.

The page was down for less than a day.

“I thank Facebook for restoring our site and the content we have shared over the past several years.  In addition, thank you to the public for the overwhelming response which has drawn national attention.  I guarantee we will continue to be a source of honest and truthful information and serve the citizens of Kankakee County to the best of our ability.” Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner said Wednesday night.

The page had been temporarily disabled due to what the Coroner’s office reports ‘automated security protection function.’
