U.S. Marshal Service Apprehends Homicide Suspect in Champaign, Illinois

Champaign, IL – In a coordinated effort, the Urbana Police Department and the U.S. Marshal Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force successfully apprehended Turhan L. Sims, a 35-year-old suspect, in a homicide case. 

Sims was arrested Monday in Champaign following an investigation into a shooting in Urbana that resulted in the death of 34-year-old Kadeem J. Moore. The Urbana Police Department has been actively working on the case, collecting evidence and witness testimonies. 

Authorities encourage anyone with further information to contact Urbana Police or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers, which offers rewards for information leading to an arrest in this case.
