Chicago Armed Hijacking of Amazon Truck, Vehicle Later Recovered

Chicago, IL – An armed suspect hijacked an Amazon delivery truck in Chicago’s Irving Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon. 

The Chicago Police Department reports that the highjacking occurred around 3:15 p.m. in a parking lot on the 3900 block of North Elston Avenue. A 21-year-old Amazon driver was confronted at gunpoint and forced to surrender the vehicle. The stolen Amazon truck was later found in an alley on the 3800 block of North Lawndale Avenue. 

No suspects have been apprehended, and there were no injuries reported. The Chicago Police Department is actively investigating and requests anyone with information to contact them at 312-746-6554.
