Countryside, IL – Residents of Countryside are being cautioned by local police following a deceptive burglary in the 6900 block of Golfview.
According to countryside, police reports a group traveling in a small black SUV, approached a homeowner under the guise of offering home maintenance services. While two individuals engaged the homeowner in conversation, a third allegedly entered the home to steal valuables.
The suspects, described as two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female, quickly departed the scene after the act.
This method, known as a ruse burglary, involves tricking residents with false service offers to facilitate theft. The Countryside Police Department has increased area patrols and urges residents to immediately report any suspicious interactions by dialing ‘911’.
