Naperville, IL – In a troubling trend, Naperville has witnessed six residential burglaries over the past few weeks, according to local police. The majority of these incidents have occurred during daylight hours, with burglars typically forcing their way into homes by prying open windows. Five of the recent break-ins involved this method of entry.

Authorities warn that burglary groups often conduct prior surveillance on their targets, underscoring the importance of community vigilance. The Naperville Police are urging residents to keep a watchful eye on their neighborhood and to report any unusual behavior by calling 9-1-1 immediately.

To enhance safety, the police recommend several preventive steps: ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked, keep garage doors closed—particularly overnight—and install sufficient indoor and outdoor lighting.
