Naperville, IL – A Naperville man is recovering after a medical emergency led to a crash earlier this month.

According to the Naperville Police Department, an officer observed an SUV driving erratically on Ogden Avenue, varying speeds and veering off the roadway. The SUV struck a parked taco trailer before the driver exited the vehicle and collapsed. The officer immediately began CPR, assisted by another officer who used an AED from her squad car. The driver was transported to the hospital, where he regained consciousness.

The incident highlights the importance of new medical equipment, including AEDs, recently installed in all Naperville Police vehicles.
