Peoria: Police Search for Stabbing Suspect

PEORIA, IL — A frantic search is underway in Peoria after a stabbing incident left a woman injured. 

The Peoria Police were alerted to a violent altercation on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at around 5:09 p.m. in the 2300 block of W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Officers arriving at the scene found an adult female with stab wounds to her leg and hand. She was quickly rushed to a local hospital, with injuries thankfully not life-threatening.

In response to this alarming incident, an intensive manhunt has been initiated. The Peoria Police Department, including its Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Unit, and Crime Scene Unit, along with a K9 unit, have been scouring the area. However, the suspect remains at large, escalating concerns among residents.
