Peoria Shooting: Man Wounded in Early Morning Shooting, Police Seek Leads

Peoria, IL – In an alarming incident early Wednesday, a Peoria man was reportedly shot and sought private aid for his injuries.

According to the Peoria Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on March 3, 2024. The victim, an adult male, was walking on the 200 block of W. Loucks when he was confronted and shot by an unknown assailant. Though wounded, the injuries were not life-threatening, and he was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle. The police have initiated a search but have not yet identified a crime scene or suspect. As this investigation progresses, the police encourage anyone with information to come forward.
