Peoria Teen’s Wild Chase: Stolen Vehicle, Crash, and Arrest

PEORIA, IL – A wild chase unfolded in Peoria on Saturday when a 16-year-old teenager in a reportedly stolen vehicle led police on a high-speed pursuit. 

According to police reports the chase ended on Sam J. Stone Avenue, a dead-end, when the teen collided with a police cruiser. After the crash, the teen allegedly attempted to escape on foot, only to be quickly apprehended by officers. 

The juvenile driver now faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Battery to Police and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. Peoria Police urge anyone with information on similar incidents to come forward.
